For 180 Creative Ideas, we will take 180 of these lesson plan supplements - one for each day of the school year--reshape and update them if necessary, and present them in a standardized format. All will highlight classroom-appropriate themes and topics for discussion and interaction. These activities will be aimed at teachers of children in grades K-8 (the same audience we have for the Teacher's Calendar). Each of the 180 entries will be 5 to 8 paragraphs in length, and will include the following elements: The date of the event (only non-shifting holidays and events will be included); The event or topic name; An explanation of the topic and its relevance to today's students; Suggested classroom activities for a range of abilities/ages (including materials lists as appropriate); Further resources (Web sites, books, recordings, etc.
