À propos des auteurs

Graziana Lazzarino, a native of Genoa, received her Laurea cum laude from the University of Genoa and is currently Professor of Italian at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She has taught at numerous European schools and American colleges and universities, including Wellesley College, Middlebury College, Central Connecticut State College, and the University of Nebraska. She is also the lead author of In giro per lItalia: A Brief Introduction to Italian, Da Capo, and Per tutti i gusti. She was knighted in June 2004 by the Italian government for her contribution to the teaching of Italian language and culture.

Maria Cristina Peccianti, a native of Siena, received her Laurea from the University of Florence and currently teaches at the University for Foreigners of Siena. She has written and edited books on linguistic education, including Grammatica italiana per la scuola media and Italian as a second language, including Grammatica duso della lingua italiana. She was a co-author of the first and second editions of In giro per lItalia: A Brief Introduction to Italian.

Janice M. Aski is assistant professor and director of the Italian language program at The Ohio State University. She specializes in foreign language pedagogy and historical Italian/Romance linguistics. Her research in foreign language pedagogy explores a variety of topics, such as testing, teaching reading at the elementary level, and how first-year Italian textbooks and grammar practice activities reflect the most current research in second language acquisition. Her publications in historical Italian/Romance linguistics focus on the social, pragmatic and cognitive aspects of phonological and morphological change.

Andrea Dini, a native of Prato, received his Laurea cum laude from the University of Florence and his Ph.D. in Italian Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a minor in Second-Language Acquisition. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Italian at Montclair State University. He was a co-author of the first and second editions of In giro per lItalia: A Brief Introduction to Italian.
