He earned his BS and MS degrees from Iowa State University and received his doctorate from the William Terry College of Business Administration at the University of Georgia in 1986. He began teaching and research responsibilities in 1987 at Miami University, where he has taught operations management and supply chain management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
