Synopsis
This is a complete reference to existing Perl technologies and to the upcoming Perl compiler due out in the latter part of 1997. Perl is the dominant programming language for CGI interfaces on the World Wide Web. The CD-ROM contains the new Perl compiler and numerous pre-written modules for Perl programmers. There is also coverage of interfacing Perl to other programming languages, including Java, Visual Basic and C and C++.

À propos des auteurs
Ed Peschko (Denver, CO) a Perl veteran since Perl3, has used Perl in applications ranging from system administration to database administration, from CGI programming to data warehousing. He is also the chief technical officer in Apex Technical Consulting, a firm devoted to writing specialized enterprise applications and comprhensive technical support for Java, C++, and Perl. Ed is also on the development committee for Perl 6.
Michelle DeWolfe (Denver, CO) is a consultant and technical writer. She has authored three books Peter Norton's Guide to Java and Javascript: Blueprints to a World Beyond HTML and Perl 5 Complete.
