Fluid-solids separation processes are discussed in the chapters on, 'Sedimentation', 'Filtration', 'Gas Cleaning' and 'Centrifugal Separations'. The chapters on Leaching, Drying and Crystallisation are concerned with the mass transfer from solids; and Distillation, Gas Absorption and Liquid-Liquid Extraction on mass transfer in fluids. This volume, along with the rest of the series, will continue to be a valuable text, both for those teaching and studying chemical engineering and for scientists and engineers in industry.
