Synopsis

To women who play golf, one name stands alone as the most widely recognized and accomplished competitor - Nancy Lopez. Since establishing herself as the game's greatest player by capturing both the Rookie and Player of the Year awards in 1978, Lopez has gone on to garner dozens of LPGA victories. Not stopping at that, Nancy Lopez is already on the comeback trail of the pro circuit after giving birth to her second daughter. Now she ads to her accomplishments the book that gives golfers on all levels hundreds of tips for taking strokes off their game. Filled with action photos of the author and step-by-step instruction, "Lopez on Golf" covers all the essential time-proven techniques from basic fundamentals and equipment choice to precise club-by-club shotmaking and strategies for better play. Nancy Lopez brings to her book additional chapters that make it the most up-to-date, comprehensive manual available for women golfers today. Topics include essential exercise and nutrition tips for better performance, successfully combining a career in golf with a fulfilling family life, playing the game while pregnant, and teaching a child to play. Interspersed throughout the book are candid assessments of the players Lopez has faced in competition, including JoAnne Carner, Amy Alcott, Pat Bradley, Jan Stephenson, Betsy King and Laura Davies.
