Synopsis

This haunting novella follows British journalist Henry Morgan's labyrinthine and obsessive quest to find two Jewish refugees in London during the Blitz. Having helped sixteen-year-old Antonin and his uncle leave Czechoslovakia before the war, Morgan finds himself on a strange journey confronting class, politics and paranoia while trying to discover the truth about the missing man and boy.

À propos de l?auteur

Adam Lively was born in Swansea in 1961 and studied History and philosophy in England and America. He has published the novels Blue Fruit (1988) and The Burnt House (1909), and a pamphlet in the Chatto Counterblasts series, Parliament: The Great British Democracy Swindle (1990). His work has also appeared in the anthologies 20 Under 35, PEN New Poetry II and The Dylan Companion. His novel Sing the Body Electric was published in June 1993, the year in which he was selected as one of the Best Young British Novelists. He lives in London with his wife Diana, and their son Jacob.
