Synopsis

TEX is a scientific typesetting package used by mathematicians, physicists, computer scientists and many within the social sciences. The program is an extremely complex and technical system, challenging the most experienced users. This software package provides TEX users with a set of data files and on-line access to help screens for definitions and explanations of all TEX commands. It describes which commands are to be used for which typesetting purposes. The package offers information on many commonly used typesetting terms and techniques, and also includes descriptions of virtually every TEX command. "TEXHelp" should prove a useful resource for authors, professionals, technical typists and those teaching TEX to others. It should also be a useful quick reference for commands not used frequently. The program is written in C and runs on IBM PCs and clones operating under DOS or Microsoft Windows 3.0. It will also run on UNIX workstations. The program was developed by Arvind Borde, with the assistance of Tomas Rokicki. This program allows users to save entries in files, which can be processed with TEX and printed or previewed. It also permits, on select systems, direct TEX previewing of entries by simply pressing a single key.
