William C. Marquardt is Emeritus Professor of Zoology at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, where he has been affiliated since 1966. Professor Marquardt received his Ph.d. from the University of Illinois, Urbana in 1954. He was a member of the Center of Zoonoses Research at the Unversity of Illinois from 1962-66 and Associate Director of the Arthropod-Borne and Infectious Diseases Laboratory at Colorado State University from 1987 to 1995. His publications include approximately 75 refereed papers in periodicals, four books, as well as book reviews and chapters. Richard S. Demaree received his Ph.D. from Colorado State University in 1969. Since 1972, he has been Professor of Zoology as well as Coordinator of the Electron Microscopy Programs at California State University, Chico. His publications include two books and approximately 40 refereed papers in academic journals. Robert Grieve received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 1978. From 1987-96 he was Professor of Parasitology at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Colorado State University, Fort Collins. Since 1993, he has been Director of Research at Heska Corporation, Fort Collins, Colorado. His publications include one book, several book chapters, and approximately 80 refereed papers in academic journals.
