Bonnie F. Fremgen, Ph.D., is a former associate dean of the Allied Health Program at Robert Morris College. She has taught medical law and ethics courses as well as clinical and administrative topics. In addition, she has served as an advisor for students' career planning. She has broad interests and experiences in the health care field, including hospitals, nursing homes, and physicians' offices.
Dr. Fremgen holds a nursing degree as well as a master's in health care administration. She received her Ph.D. from the College of Education at the University of Illinois. She has performed postdoctoral studies in Medical Law at Loyola University Law School in Chicago.
Dr. Fremgen is currently co-director of the Center for Business Ethics at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
Suzanne S. Frucht is an Assistant Professor of Physiology at Northwest Missouri State University. She received a BA in Biological Sciences in 1975 and a BS in Physical Therapy in 1977, both from Indiana University. She worked full-time as a physical therapist in various health care settings, including acute care hospitals, extended care facilities, and home health from 1977 to 1991.
Dr. Frucht received a MS degree in Biological Sciences from NWMSU in 1987. Based on her health care experience and graduate degree, she was invited to teach Medical Terminology part-time in 1988. Discovering a love for the challenge of teaching at the college level she joined the NWMSU biology faculty full-time in 1991. While continuing to work full-time on the faculty she obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in 1999.
Today, she teaches a varied course load including Medical Terminology, Basic Physiology and Anatomy, Human Physiology, Comparative Anatomy, and Histology. To remain up-to-date in health care she continues to work as a PT on an occasional basis and takes continuing education courses to maintain her physical therapy license.
