Synopsis
The European Community is undergoing a period of uncertainty as the Member States strive for agreement on a variety of political, economic and financial issues. This authoritative analysis gives the essential background to an understanding of the operation of the EC and of the problems facing it. Written by two experts in the field, the book surveys the gradual development of the EC, and includes a full examination of the impact of the Treaty agreed at Maastricht in December 1991, indicating throughout how and why the amendments envisaged by the Treaty will affect the law.
