Synopsis
While her good-looking, easy-going twin brother Jim easily fits into the Palos Verdes beach scene of surfers, potheads and hangers-on, at fourteen, Medina is awkward, hostile and instantly unpopular. As Medina watches her parent's marriage disintegrate and her brother drift dangerously away from her, she turns to surfing, finding a bitter solace in the challenge of the waves.
