Synopsis

Vivienne, Cathy, Heather and Grace have moved with their mother to a rented house in the city. It's winter-time and city life isn't quite what they expected. Robin Klein was born in Kempsey, New South Wales, one of nine children. Her great-
grandfather was an Irish convict sentenced to life transportation for highway robbery. Robin had her first short story published when she was sixteen. In 1981 she was awarded a Literature Board grant for writing and she has since had over fifty books published and won many Australian awards. She now lives in the hills near Melbourne.
