Synopsis

Jem causes quite a stir when he joins Lou and Emma's class at the Maple School of Ballet. He's really nice, great fun and a very good dancer - everyone likes him. To their surprise he seems very friendly with the horrible Angela who is always upsetting Emma. But it soon becomes clear that he's trying to help Emma and has done a deal in which Angela agrees to be nice to Emma. Soon ballet classes are fun for everyone again.

Antonia Barber is very knowledgeable about ballet. Her daughter studied ballet from the age of three and attended Royal Ballet School junior classes at Sadler's Wells.
Antonia is well-known for such best-selling picture books as THE MOUSEHOLE CAT (with Nicola Bayley) and CATKIN (with P J Lynch). Her novel GHOSTS, filmed and published in paperback as THE AMAZING MR BLUNDEN, was runner-up for the Carnegie Medal. Antonia Barber lives in Ashford, Kent.
