À propos de l'auteur

Born in Ireland, Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wilde (1854-1900) was educated in Dublin and Oxford and went on to become the leading and most prominent exponent of flamboyant aestheticism. As well as his novel, he wrote many plays, and several volumes of poetry and criticism. Imprisoned for homosexual acts, he died after his release in exile in Paris.
Robert Mighall has edited a selection of Wilde's poetry for Everyman and is the author of 'A Geography of Victorian Gothic Fiction' (OUP, 1999).
