Barbara Reynolds was for twenty-two years lecturer in Italian at Cambridge University and continues to live in Cambridge. She is the General Editor of the Cambridge Italian Dictionary, on which this edition is based. She has been awarded silver medals by the Italian Governemnt for her services to Italian Scholarship and to Anglo-Italian relations.
