Synopsis

Unnervingly clever, obsessively logical and infuriating to live with, but also disarmingly childlike and able to make you laugh - sound familiar?

Asperger's syndrome (AS) is the high-functioning end of the autistic spectrum that affects as many as one in ten people. With humour, optimism and compelling honesty throughout, this is an insightful handbook that provides invaluable practical advice, including:

• AS facts and figures

• Aspergers questionnaires

• Tips and guidelines on diagnosis

• Aspergers and employment

• Do's and don'ts for handling Aspergers

• Personal accounts from sufferers and their partners

By researching expert opinion and telling her own story of an almost impossible but truly wonderful love affair with Danny, Barbara Jacobs reveals the truth about Aspergers and those who love them.
