Ross Watkins is an author and illustrator for both children and adults. His first major publication was the illustrated book The Boy Who Grew Into a Tree (Penguin 2012), and his award winning short fiction and non-fiction have been published in Australia and internationally. Ross was shortlisted for the 2011 Queensland Premier's Award for Emerging Authors, and he teaches creative writing on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Liz Anelli makes her pictures using collage and printmaking as well as paint and pencils. She was awarded an Australian Society of Authors Children s Picture Book Illustrators Initiative in 2014 and will be taking up a May Gibbs Trust Fellowship to Adelaide in 2015. Liz now lives in Newcastle, Australia with her husband Mario. She is currently illustrating her second picture storybook for Walker Book Australia.
