Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. Four volume set, complete and housed in a Near Fine illustrated slipcase. Overall a bright and attractive set. Light shelf wear to the books. Volume one has wear to the spine, though the binding remains solid and is not cracked. Volume 2 has pencil underlining and marginalia to fewer than 25 pages, otherwise the text is clean and bright. Boxed Set. Etat : Very Good. Four-volume set contains the diaries covering 1931-1947, edited & with prefaces by Gunther Stuhlmann. Only Vol. 1 appears to have been read; its condition is Good+: completely clean & unmarked, but downgraded due to creasing to spine & lower-outer corner of front cover. Vol. 3 has a small nick at center spine. Otherwise, Vols. 2-4 are Fine: obviously never opened or read, pristine! All bindings strong & straight; pages slightly off white (Vol. 1 is more tanned). The box is sturdy & serviceable, though rubbed to extremities & torn about halfway along one edge of both the top & bottom surfaces.
