Edward (Ted) M. Kian is Professor and the Welch-Bridgewater Endowed Chair of Sports Media in the School of Media and Strategic Communications at Oklahoma State University. He has authored more than 90 journal articles, and his work has appeared in journals including International Journal of Sport Communication, Journal of Applied Sport Management, Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media, Public Relations Review, Sociology of Sport Journal, and Women in Sport and Physical Activity Journal. Dr. Kian is coauthor of Strategic Sport Communication (2016).

Brad Schultz is former Professor of Journalism in the School of Journalism and New Media at the University of Mississippi. His research focuses on how new technologies impact sports journalism. Dr. Schultz has written and edited ten books, and he is the creator and founding editor of The Journal of Sports Media.

Galen Clavio is Associate Professor of Sports Communication in the Media School at Indiana University, and also serves as the director of the National Sports Journalism Center. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles that have been published in leading journals including Communication and Sport, International Journal of Sport Communication, Journal of Sports Media, and Journal of Sport Management.

Mary Lou Sheffer is Associate Professor and the head of the Broadcast Journalism sequence at the University of Southern Mississippi. She has published numerous book chapters and articles that have appeared in journals including Journal of Communication Studies, Newspaper Research Journal, Electronic News, Journal of Computer Mediated Communication, and The International Journal of Media Management.
