Hinduism: The Primary Sources stands out as the most comprehensive anthology of Hindu writings thus far. This all-encompassing reader divides into ten chapters, each covering its own genre of Hindu writings. Each chapter begins with an introduction that will define key concepts found in the passages, followed by its chronological readings, and end with a set of discussion questions to connect the chapter's content to common themes and help students point to the pivotal development of ideas across time.
