Synopsis
A technique book for the intermediate player which follows on from skills introduced in Creative Saxophone and Creative Saxophone Duets, and may be used alongside Creative Saxophone Improvising. The workbook focuses on specific techniques which, with regular practice, will give the student the confidence, fluency, and freedom to realize their full potential in performance and improvisation. BL Introduces essential techniques for the intermediate soloist BL Builds confidence and fluency in performance and improvisation BL Covers harmonics, vibrato, alternative and altissimo fingerings BL Provides interesting and effective ways to practise modes, scales, and arpeggios BL Develops improvisation skills through focusing on patterns, cycle of 5ths, the II-V-I, and transcription BL CD with live expert demonstrations and inspirational backings for the play-along pieces and many of the exercises; includes versions for alto and tenor instruments

À propos de l?auteur
Kellie Santin is widely recognized for her unique voice on the alto saxophone. Greatly influenced by Charlie Parker, Paul Desmond and others, her style of playing combines exceptional technique with a strong sense of melody and an infectious ability to groove. Kellie currently lectures in Saxophone at London's City Literary Institute. Kellie also freelances with a wide range of artists including Nina Ferro and Al Start.
