À propos de l'auteur

Edward Margetson (1891–1962) was born in St. Kitts, British West Indies, to musical parents. He immigrated to the United States in 1919 and began serving as organist and choirmaster of the Church of the Crucifixion in New York City a year later. He later created the Schubert Music Society of New York as an artistic outlet for the Black population. He held a celebrated tenure at Columbia University, and his archives are currently located in Columbia’s Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
