Synopsis
This text provides an interdisciplinary sampling of classic articles and short literay selections focusing on the diverse aspects of peace and conflict studies. Readings cover the causes of war and ways to prevent it, the need for peace, non-violence and peace movements, religious inspirations, and future prospects for peace. Each selection is prefaced by a short introduction and followed to study question and a useful list of additional films and literature on the subject.
