Synopsis
Based on the author's experience of living with slum dwellers who were the recipients of World Bank projects in La Paz, Bolivia, and Quayaquil, Ecuador, this book discusses making an evaluation as a participant-observer. He refers to the methodology for evaluating social programmes. The book also uses examples from Brazil and Thailand.
