Resource and Environmental Management in Canada: Addressing Conflict and Uncertainty brings together contributions from more than two dozen specialists in the field. Chapters that appeared in the third edition have been revised, some very significantly, and eight new chapters have been added. Five new statements have been added to the existing set of guest statements, all of which have been prepared by academics and practitioners reflecting on their experience in translating concepts into action. Brand new pedagogical features like learning objectives, end-of-chapter review questions, and from the field boxes have all been added to this fourth edition.

Bruce Mitchell is professor of geography and associate provost of academic and student affairs at the University of Waterloo. He recently received the Massey Medal from the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, recognizing his outstanding career achievement in the field of Canadian geography.
