Lydia Miljan is associate professor in the Department of Political Science and director of the inter-faculty arts and science program at the University of Windsor. Her researched is fuelled by a fascination with how people generate their ideas, what shapes their opinions, and under what circumstances they change their minds. Specifically, her writing and teaching focus on how the media itself influences political news items and what impact that influence has on the creation of public policy, as well as how political parties shape their media messages and the role the media plays in framing those messages.
