Currently Professor of Marathi Linguistics at the Deccan College, Pune, Dr Dhonde has earlier held positions of Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Reader in Semantics and Lexicography. He has written award-winning books on stylistics and is Chairman of the English Language Committee, Maharashtra State Textbook Bureau in Pune.
