"This work, which has long been unobtainable by scholars, is of great importance for the study of Donne's thought. It is a link between his secular and his religious writings, such as the two Anniversaries and Biathanatos on the one hand, and the Sermons and Devotions on the other. It was first prepared for publication by his son in 1651, and has only once been reprinted, nearly a hundred years ago, in an edition which has long been out of print. Mrs. Simpson has supplied a scholarly introduction, and her notes put the book into relation with Donne's poems and sermons.". N° de réf. du vendeur hPoetDonne02
