A propos du livre

Revue de presse

' The massive learning embodied in the commentary has passed beyond the ken of this reviewer. Rigorous methods have been brought to bear on textual decisions of some complexity ... a tiny example of the minute care which Brooks has given to Oldham for fifty years, and which will find its best reward in wider appreciation of the poet whom he has done so much to restore to currency.' Pat Rogers, Times Literary Supplement

'The text is up to the highest scholarly standards, corrected and enriched by readings from the Rawlinson MS in the Bodleian. Harold F. Brooks and his collaborator Raman Selden have provided not only a text, but a vade mecum.Everyone seriously interested in Oldham ... now knows where to turn.' Ian Jack, Pembroke College, Cambridge.
