This week we received a copy of First Language English for Cambridge IGCSE and it was 'love at first sight!' It was definitely what we were needing at our school. Complete First Language has core and extended exercises, and also advice for the student on how to plan and write, along with the self-evaluation at the end of each unit which focuses them on exam skills. The texts are varied and interesting and I like the extension texts at the end of each unit. Also there are plenty of speaking activities which is great. There are some excellent activities on the CD ROM too. My first impression is that the resources are very useful and user friendly - certainly more so than any of the other text books which I´ve seen for First Language English.
