Synopsis
This book comprises a collection of lectures which aims to stress the fundamental ideas relevant to the understanding of the electrical properties of materials. Topics explain the operation of devices with applications in engineering. This fourth edition has updated information on the technology of semiconductor and laser devices and a new chapter on optoelectronics.
