Synopsis
Hansen's study examines how far European economic integration has come. Is it still more useful to view the European Union countries as a set of individual economies, or does it now make more sense to look at them as forming one larger economy? The book attempts to answer this question in a range of expert contributions dealing with all the major aspects of European economic integration, including trade, economic growth, demographics, labour markets, industrial structures, foreign direct investment, and monetary integration.

À propos de l'auteur
Jorgen Drud Hansen is Jean Monnet Professor of Economics and Director of the Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence, University of Southern Denmark. He was previously Jean Monnet Professor of European Economics at Odense University and Robert Schumann Visiting Professor at Renmin University, Beijing, China
