David Kilcullen is a counterinsurgency theorist currently advising General Stanley McChrystal, the US and NATO commander in Afghanistan. Kilcullen is Adjunct Professor of Security Studies, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, a Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, and the author of The Accidental Guerrilla (Oxford).
