Debbie Baker began writing stories for her grandchildren as they were born. With both her father and her husband retired from the US Armed Forces, she has traveled and lived in many places, including Florida, Virginia, Oregon, North Dakota, Texas, and even the Netherlands, where her first two children were born. They now have four grown children and five grandchildren. Debbie has taught both elementary and secondary school for more than twenty years in Texas. She currently serves as a school library media specialist within the Amarillo Independent School District in Amarillo, Texas. Presently, Debbie resides with her husband in Canyon, Texas. Ten Days with Mimi and Pa Pa is her first story, written for their first grandchild. Their daughter and her family now reside in Canyon as well. So now Aubrey, along with her younger brother, Landon, can visit Mimi and Pa Pa most any day they wish.
