Richard J. Ward has been Director of Programming, United States Agency for International Development, and Professor and Chairman of the Economics Department, Long Island University, and Chief, Planning Division in the Bureau for Near East and South Asia of the Agency for International Development. He has also worked in a number of development programs, for both government and industry, and has received the Citation for Distinguished Service of the United States Agency for International Development.
