About the Author:

Dorothy Sailor has worked with children, college students, and parents in child study laboratories and taught child development and family living classes at Fullerton College for thirty years. She has published articles in national and international journals. She has been active in community projects involving children, homeless families, and school issues. She served six years on the World Organization for the Education of Young Children's (OMEP) Executive Committee and currently serves on the U.S. National Committee-OMEP.
