Ewing (1899-1973) was a member of the Faculty of Moral Science at Cambridge University and a Fellow of the British Academy. He taught at several universities in the United States including Princeton University and Northwestern University. His many books include and The Fundamental Questions of Philosophy and The Definition of Good.
