I was born in Nso in the western part of Cameroon to parents Fonka Shang Lawrence and Odilia Fonka. I obtained my primary education in Shisong girls' school and in Saint Theresa's school Kimbo in Nso. I completed my secondary education in St. Augustine's college still in Nso. I did my professional nursing education in Bamenda Nursing School obtaining a practical nursing, diploma in Nursing and psychiatric nursing certificates. I enrolled in a nursing program in Delaware State University in Delaware, USA, where I obtained Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Biology. I then obtained my Master of Science in Nursing education in Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. I am presently retired from nursing.
