Synopsis

As a volunteer firefighter myself, I participated in Fire Prevention Week every year. This is observed during the week in which Oct. 9 falls. The teachers and parents were looking for books to read to their children. They would ask us for books about the volunteer fire department, but there were not many out there. This is a great book for the children to learn a little more about the volunteer fire department and who we are.

À propos de l'auteur

I served as a professional firefighter and as a volunteer firefighter. I was a certified firefighter, certified rescue diver, and certified at haz-mat operations level. I also served as a lieutenant, captain and on a Fire Investigation team and was very involved in the community and fire prevention. I wrote this book because there are no books for the children to read that tell them about the volunteer fire department and who we are.
