Synopsis

This series of pilotage guides aims to provide the user with all he needs to cruise or race from Great Yarmouth to the Scillies, and Den Helder to Brest. Each double page spread contains on the right hand page an accurate scaled chart of the harbour or anchorage, showing coastline, depth of water, navigational lights, latitude and longitude references, Decca waypoints and drying areas. The facing page carries tidal information, approach details, warnings of hazards and port and pilotage information. The book also contains graphs for quick and accurate tidal calculations. Brian Goulder is race organizer for offshore classes (Cowes) and editor of "Channel West and Solent Almanac" (annual). Volume 1 of this series covers Great Yarmouth to Littlehampton and IJmuiden to Carentan. Volume 3 covers Bridport to the Scilly Isles and Binic to Ushant.
