Synopsis
This book examines community-based approaches to counter-terrorism through an analysis of the notions of community, partnership, engagement, gender and religion in order to shed new light on the potential of, and drawbacks to these approaches. À propos de l?auteur
Basia Spalek is Professor of Conflict Transformation in the Department of Therapeutic Practice at Derby University, UK. She is a BACP registered psychotherapist, specialising in trauma and peace-building. Her research interests lie in conflict transformation, community-based approaches to preventing and responding to violence, counter-terrorism and victimisation and victim services.
