Synopsis
In 1854 Florence Nightingale set sail for Scutari, Turkey, with a bank of nurses, determined to help the British soldiers wounded in the Crimean War. When she first arrived, she was not welcomed, but by the time she left she was hailed as "the soldiers' friend."
