The authors, Francis Rumsey and Tim McCormick are both active musicians and engineers. Tim McCormick was formerly deputy head of sound at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. Francis Rumsey is Senior Lecturer on the world famous 'Tonmeister' degree course at the University of Surrey and is author of MIDI Systems and Control, and Audio Workstation Handbook. He is also co-author, with John Watkinson, of The Digital Interface Handbook.

Biographie de l'auteur

Professor of Sound Recording at the University of Surrey (UK) and a Visiting Professor at the School of Music in Piteå (Sweden). Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society and a regular contributor to the AES Journal.
Formerly Deputy Head of sound at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester (UK) and has since worked at Klark Teknik and the RSC.
