David E. Reese is the Director of WJCU, the campus radio station at John Carroll University, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Communications where he teaches courses in radio production and station operations as well as an introductory broadcast course. He is coauthor of Broadcast Announcing Worktext (Focal Press) and has written numerous articles and book reviews for the Journal of College Radio, College Broadcaster, Radio World, Feedback, Journal of Radio Studies, Historical Dictionary of American Radio, and the Encyclopedia of Radio. Before arriving at John Carroll University, Mr. Reese held a similar position at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, IL. Prior to entering the academic field, he worked at commercial radio stations in the central and western New York regions where he held positions from announcer to account executive to station manager. Dr. Lynne S. Gross has taught radio and television production at a number of universities in both the United States and abroad. She has published 11 books and numerous articles which have appeared in Billboard, Radio Ink, Feedback and the Journal of College Radio. Dr. Gross has served as President of the Broadcast Education Association and was awarded its Distinguished Education Service Award in 1997. Professionally, she worked as Director of Programming for Valley Cable TV and has produced hundreds of radio and television programs.
