Synopsis
This book contains the edited letters of Lotte Lenya and Kurt Weill. This was a tortured relationship - both were endlessly unfaithful and felt the need to reveal their infidelities to each other. Their relationship, however, fuelled their individual geniuses - he wrote his best music for her and her singing was at its most impassioned when she sang his songs.
