First edition thus (Fingerprint Books edition). 287pp. Richard Hull was a pseudonym of Richard Henry Sampson(1896-1973), a British writer who became successful as a crime novelist. The Murder of My Aunt was his first crime novel, originally published in 1934. The story concerns Edward Powell, who lives with his Aunt Mildred in the Welsh town of Llwll. His aunt thinks Llwll an idyllic place to live, but Edward loathes the countryside and thinks the company even worse. In fact, Edward has decided to murder his aunt. The book is bound in the original red boards with gold titling on the spine. The case of the book is in very good condition with a dent in the middle of the top of the spine and slight cocking to the spine. The contents are tight and clean with a small patch of thinning to the paper in the middle of the front free endpaper where a name has probably been erased. The unclipped dustwrapper is in excellent condition with light shelf wear and bumping to the top of the spine. N° de réf. du vendeur gLitHull01
