This book presents a series of accounts written by Mathieu Mol� , a former Procureur G� n� ral to the Parlement of Paris, about a series of significant events related to French monarchy during the tumultuous years from 1629 to 1633. The author's position afforded him a privileged point of view on events, such as the intervention of the French monarchy in conflicts between the Dukes of Savoy and of Lorraine and the revolt of Gaston d'Orl� ans, the king's brother, after the death of the king's father, King Henri IV. Mol� 's accounts also mention a rising incidence of plague that plagued Paris during this period.
