It has a series of lyrical love poems, and romantic verse, strung together as a dream, where each poem explores different aspects of desire, courtship, and commitment between the lover and the beloved. Many of the verse styles are reminiscent of the romantic poets. The book is, in some ways, a Victorian-era love story in verse form, however, not all of the poems within the book are romantic. Other poems explore religious themes and the author discusses serious ideas such as fate and mortality. Despite these diversions in subject matter, this book is undoubtedly a celebration of love and life, and the human spirit.
