Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book offers a compendium of the ancient Greek historian Pompeius Trogus's comprehensive work, Historiae Philippicae. Trogus's original text chronicled the history of the world up to the reign of Alexander the Great, drawing upon a range of sources now lost to time. The author meticulously compiles excerpts from Trogus's 44-volume opus into a concise and accessible format, preserving insights into ancient civilizations, their customs, and remarkable historical events. With a specific focus on Philip II of Macedon's reign and conquests, this book explores themes of ambition, military strategy, and the cultural exchanges between Greece and the broader Mediterranean world. Ultimately, it illuminates the interconnectedness of ancient civilizations and the enduring legacy of their leaders, shedding light on the foundations of Western civilization. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9780243538553_0
